    How many SIM cards can I register in my name/NID?

    As per Bangladesh government policy, you can register up to 15 SIM cards under one name/NID number. So you have to carefully use the number of SIM card registration benefits.

    How is the SIM card registration check performed?

    All existing public and private telecom companies have introduced a way to perform SIM card registration for their NID numbers. Here are the methods for each operator –

    There is a unanimous code for all operators to check the registration of the SIM card. Dial *16001#, then a popup will appear on the screen. Enter the last 4 digits of the NID. Press Enter and you will then receive a message containing the list of phone numbers registered under NID.

    Robi Sim registration verification online

    Ruby: For Robi users, dial *1600*3# on a SIM card registered in their name. A list of phone numbers registered under that user will appear. We see: Internet view Robi

    Biometric recording check in Grameenphone

    Grameen Phone: If you are a Grameenphone user, check how many numbers are registered to you by sending an SMS to 4949 with the text “Info”. If you want to check for someone else, type in your “17 digit NID number” and text it to 4949 for SIM registration check. We see: GP Internet View

    Check Airtel Sim registration online

    Banglalink Sim online verification registration

    Banglalink: If you are a Banglalink SIM user, the USSD code to check the phone numbers registered under your name and NID card is *1600*2#’. There is no specific USSD code to check different NID cards set by Banglalink. You can use a consensus code to perform a SIM check.Banglalink Internet Deals

    Check your TeleTalk Sim registration online

    TeleTalk: For Teletalk users, you can check the SIM numbers registered in your name by typing “info” and sending an SMS to 1600. Internet view Teletalk

    What if there are unknown numbers registered under my NID number?

    After you have carried out a check of your SIM card registration and found out one or more unidentified phone numbers that you did not register yourself or you may have lost the SIM card, report it to the customer care service of your operator as soon as possible. They will remove the SIM numbers from your name and NID card. If you delay this, there is a fear that you will be a victim in case someone commits crimes using your SIM card.

    Check the total SIM(s) with all numbers
